All Joy of Jade products are made of 18K Gold or Rhodium vermeil on Sterling Silver and traditionally crafted.
Thanks to high-quality materials, Joy of Jade Products keep their original color and shape longer than many others.
Despite its premium quality, color differences may occur in the products after a certain period (depending on usage). As a result, special care is required.
Like with all fine things in your life, you should take care to protect your jewelry and always store it in its original packaging, taking care not to drop, bash or scratch it.
Storage Tips
- Store your jewelry individually in the original packaging separately so that pieces do not tangle, rub or scratch against each other.
- Ensure pieces are completely dry before storing.
- Keep your jewelry away from extreme temperatures, humidity, or sunlight.
Wear and Care Tips
- The more intentional you are about caring for your jewelry, the longer it will last.
- Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you remove upon coming home.
- And don’t forget to remove your Joy of Jade jewelry before washing your hands, swimming, or using products such as perfume, hairspray, soap, or lotion. Such products may harm the metal, cause discoloration, or cause a loss of brilliance.
- Avoid contact or any activities that risk physical damage that may scratch or chip the jewelry.
Cleaning Tips
- Regularly cleaning your pieces helps to avoid the residue build-up that can dull the original shine.
- Proactive maintenance is key. Vermeil will naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to environmental factors like air pollution, moisture, and items that contain sulfur. To keep tarnish from setting in, be sure to clean your pieces regularly by wiping them with a soft, damp cloth.
- Polish your jewelry frequently with a lint-free cloth to maintain its original sparkling condition.
- Polishing cloths can be abrasive so if you use polishing cloths apply gentle pressure and don’t over-polish.
